Do you have plans for what to do this Bank Holiday weekend, the second one this month! If you feel like you wasted the last one and didn’t do much, this is your second chance! We’ve found something for everyone this weekend.
For The Boys
The Whisky Stramash 2015 has tickets left for Sunday afternoon, for you to go and try a huge selection of whisky – over 200 if you want a number! Tickets are £28.60 and the event promises to
challenge the perceptions people have of whisky and whisky drinkers. The price is inclusive so there are no added extras for tasting whisky but they do advise taking some money with you, justincase you’re tempted to buy a bottle of a new favourite, an old faithful or a gourmet pie and pint to round off the day! It’s hosted at Surgeons Hall on Nicholson Street from 1pm-5pm.
For The Girls
Ladies, drop the men at the Whisky Stramash and then keep walking. Keep walking until you reach heaven…well, not really, but keep going until you hit St Andrew’s Square which will be pretty close to heaven this weekend as Spa in the City is back! For those who haven’t experienced this free event yet, it’s two days of urban pampering, how-to demonstrations and general health and beauty indulgence! The event is free so have a walk around and see all the stores and brands represented, from high street to high end there’s something for everyone. Experts are on hand to give tips, tricks and even some make overs. A new addition this year is the Beauty Heroes Tent, which is where the how-to’s will happen and experts will be hiding, you can see the schedule for this here. To book your free treatment (yes, free!) you need to find the registration tent early (opens at 9am) where you can register for a maximum of 2 treatments. You’ll get a wristband to show at the stands and the early birds will also get a goody bag. Element Bar on Rose Street will be hosting a cocktail master class, LUNIR will provide the music and the St Andrew’s Square Cafe will be selling food.
For The Family
Pond dipping, interactive workshops and live demonstrations are just a few of the highlights of the RSPB Scotland’s Big Nature Festival at Levenhall Links this weekend. There’s something for kids of all ages so if you just wanted a nice family day out or the kids are really into their nature and bird watching you’ll all have a great time.
And of course, as usual The Dunstane is here to help you over the Bank Holiday Weekend, from luxury accommodation to energy boosting breakfast and sumptuous dinners. Get in touch to find out about our latest offers
