Explore The Edinburgh Dungeon’s underground city and ghost tours!
A city as old as Edinburgh is bound to have its fair share of ghosts and secrets. Many of the city’s darker tales are recounted by characters from the past at The Edinburgh Dungeon including 1645 Old Edinburgh’s ‘Street of Sorros’, serial killers Burke and Hare, the horrors of the famous ‘Boat Ride’ and gruesome fate of William Wallace.
Going back to the Dungeons; torture, clan wars, cannibals and ghosts all feature. The Edinburgh Dungeon is not suitable for people of a nervous disposition or very young children! It has 11 actor-led shows and 2 rides to experience with tours starting every couple of minutes.
The Edinburgh Dungeons are located on Market Street, very close to Waverley Station and is open every day except Christmas Day. Precise opening times and more information can be found on the Edinburgh Dungeon’s website.
