Botanic Lights returns this Autumn

The award-winning event Botanic Lights at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh is back this year by popular demand. As darkness falls every evening from 13th October to 6th November 2016, a beautiful trail of light and colour is created around the garden for you to explore.

The unaccompanied tour of the garden follows a designated route with installations, illuminations and lighting of plants, paths and buildings. This year’s journey has been designed by leading Scottish lighting artist Grant Anderson and composer Claire McKenzie. The theme ‘Explore’ takes visitors around the world, with different countries represented by the garden’s exotic collection of plants and trees. It is brought to life by event producers Unique Events and audio visual specialists Black Light.
“Unique Events are pleased to return to the Garden again this autumn with an all-new Botanic Lights experience.” said Director of Unique Events, Penny Dougherty. “This year we inviting visitors to ‘Explore’ the world, with an ambitious light and sound event featuring interactive experiences, show pieces and installation art.”
A spokesperson for Black Light said “We are delighted to be in partnership with Unique Events and Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh to bring an enchanting event that all the family will enjoy exploring. We have been working on the outdoor event for many months and are extremely excited for it to begin.”
